Best Plane to Learn to Slope

Why would anyone throw a perfectly good airplane off a cliff?

Best Plane to Learn to Slope

Postby vracer » Sun May 20, 2012 3:06 pm

Based on my performance this weekend I don't think a Kulbution is the ideal plane to lean to slope soar. The other two planes I have are a DG-1000 and an old Robbe ASW-24. What is a good starter plane that could handle any normal day at Coyote?

I have been flying electrics for many years so I am not a total newb.

It's hard to beat a combat wing for all around fun at Coyote Hills. Although they may not look like airplanes, they can fly in a wide range of wind conditions (with ballasting) and they're designed to handle crashes without breaking. Here's a great one: http://www.canuckengineering.com/new/content/bee-2 Get the "Predator Package" if you chose this route.

Come out to the Slope-A-Ding-Dong on Memorial Day and you are welcome to fly one of mine (I have 2).

2nd the Weasel - can be built much quicker than a combat wing, and they are made with slope magic dust.

X10000 on the Weasel EVO from Dreamflight. Fly it as high or as low as you want.
Really?

Well not to pile on but no matter what slope planes you have you should also have a Weasel.

The Weasel is great fun, and I will also bring one (the original EPP version) to the Slope-A-Ding-Dong at Coyote Hills on Memorial Day. Come on out and you can try a combat wing and a Weasel. If you really want to test your skills, try flying them simultaneously. :P
