CrazyJ's FPV Skysurfer Deux

Postby crazyj » Sat Jul 28, 2012 7:47 pm

My new Sky Surfer V.1 kit from Readymade RC arrived this week and it's now ready for it's first flights. It was a $50 kit without electronics, so I added my own stuff:

    - Plywood motor mount
    - Astro Flight 020 brushless motor with 6x3x3 prop
    - Plush 30amp ESC
    - 1800 3s 30c Sky Lipo
    - Spektrum AR7000 with sat rx
    - FPV 180 degree servo for awesome pan! (I can see the motor/tail at full pan!)
    - 9g servos
    - CarbonBird 520 FPV camera with super wide-angle lens upgrade
    - 200mw 5.8g video TX
    - Carbonbird CP antenna
    - Custom paint job :-)

See you all at Baylands tomorrow!

I just finished reworking the wings. Add a 8mm spar, cover with balsa a spot I found when removing the wings and rimming the hole for 8mm. Next will be a hatch for access on electronics store in the back to free out space for fpv components. I will install ca hinges for the elevator stab and reinforce with carbon.
Will post pictures later.

Ordered my own Skysurfer, and Cloverleaf antenna. Time to get back into the FPV groove.
