Just a decent airframe is from $299-$500. Motors are anywhere from $50-$200.

Or you can snipe the good deals that show up in the classifieds!! They do come around on occasion! Also check out Hobby King... They have some good planes as of late...

Ray is totally correct. I don't think any of us bought our airplanes new. They were all "acquired" by trade, or 2nd-hand. HobbyKing has some decent stuff as of late too - very tempting!

We need to get that thing dialed in more!! It is insane fast and you haven't even been able to really open it up yet! I can't wait to see how it goes when you get it right! 4 of these going around at once is crazy!!!

Guys,

I am about to place an order on Hobbyking and wanted to see people's advice on what Inrunner motor I should put into the plane Ray gave me. Its the Espeed http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... duct=22883

Hobbyking recommends: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... 00kv_.html

Motor Size: 2838
RPM/V: 2800kv
Max Load: 22A
Max volts: 14.8v 2s~4s
Max Watts: 300w

Thoughts?

That one is at the lower end of the spectrum. It will work but seems like it might be happier on .3s. This one would work great on 3s and still give you high rpms and if you wanna go nutso then try 4s with a smaller prop. Take a look...
