Charging a lead acid battery with a NiMH charger?

Can you use a NiCad or NiMH charger to charge a small sealed lead acid battery? If so, how would you configure the charger?

Nope, Nicad and Nimh use a constant current charger and lead acid requires a constant voltage charger.

Tritons have a lead-acid setting, by the way. At least my old one does.

Also there are two major class of lead acid battery, one is liquid acid and the other is gel type. The gel type requires a lower maximum charge rate than the liquid type.
