Lead Calcium Battery Charge...

Postby kyang » Thu Nov 29, 2007 12:33 am

Hello Guys,

Is there any special attention that we need to take in order to charge a 12V lead calcium battery safely? I got a small one for field use and got a 12v (500mah) wall charger as well. I checked internet and people said just charge it overnight.

(1) In this case, how are we going to know if it is finish charging? By measuring if it reaches 12v?
(2) What happen if we over-charge it? @_@
(3) Can we charge it even it is not fully discharged?

Thank you guys.

From a quick Internet search, I'd say plug it in and don't worry about it, Kai.

Lead-calcium batteries have excellent resistance to overcharging and don't care about partial or top-off charges.

I think the fully-charged voltage is close to 13 volts.
