Nice work Charlie and I guess Bob. I just finished my XP-4 wing. All I have left is to mount the tail, fuselage servos and pushrods and the peg of course. I am getting excited.

Kasra, I think your going to enjoy your XP-4. Mine has taken alot of abuse but it's also been flown more than any other plane I own...by far. Are you going to have yours ready for the contest on the 26th?

BTW, AUW for my XP-4 is now a "portly" 11.1oz (311g)

I am always amazed at how well a repair can turn out. My initial thought after seeing the damage was "Just dig out the servos and buy a new set of wing panels." The repair job looks great. Have you flown it yet? Did you notice the extra few grams of weight?

So the total repair was 5.7 gram. I'm curious about the breakdown.

How much was phase one (glueing the halves together)?
How much was phase two (putting on the glass/carbon)?

Charlie, I plan to finish the XP4 for the contest and maybe the day before so I can get practice. I weighed mine at 9.3 Ounces a couple of nights ago but that was without the pushrods.

Kasra, Your the Man!........... If your AUW comes under 10 ounces.
My Encore AUW is 10.9 ounces and as low as 10.6 ounces. Depending on my nose weight.

Charlie 11.1 ounces WOW  That is excellent I would not worry about that weight. Excellent job on the repairs you guys.

Kasra, you cant just say yours came in at 9.3 and not elaborate :P! Tell us about the battery, the tail group, and antennae placement at least!! Mine came out at 296g (10.5oz) ready to fly.

Bob, with regard to the wieght increase I think epoxying the centers together added 1.6g so that leaves 4.1g for the work we did last night.

Now if it'll just hold together

Well, The weight is gaining on me. It was 9.5 Ounces tonight and the bad news is that it looks tail heavy. Hopefully I can finish it right at 10 Ounces. I am using the D-60's for ailerons, an MX-30 for elevator, A Pico BB for rudder and a Berg 4 II RX. The battery is a 4-cell 370 pack. This has the delta vertical tail and the high aspect ratio stab.
