Troy, I have no idea on the ideal weight but seeing that adding ballast is easy, the lighter the better I assume.

UPDATE ON AUW

After a few more minor repairs/tweaks my XP-4 is now a "husky" 11.25oz. That includes 1.5g of tail wieght. Flew it today and I honestly cant tell the difference. The air seemed super bouyant today so that may have had something to do with it.

It may toss a little higher but that may also be because the wings only have about 3.5in of dihederal

Did I mention its a little twitchier  ?

Nick flew his Encore/XP today. I think its going to be winner. The wind was blowing pretty good so we didnt get that many tosses but it's definetely a floater.

I should know this but why less dihedral makes for higher launches? I maidened mine today too. This thing is cool.

Kasra,

Your XP4 looked great in the air today. Congrats on the maiden. As I was driving up to the field, the first thing I noticed was your ship in amongst a dozen or so birds all working a thermal 8)

Cheers,
Nick
