I think the material for the tail shaft was soft iron :) Since my Rave 450 has the tendency to commit suicide due to front bevel gear stripping in flight once in a while, I decided to try one of those 450 pro clones from Hong Kong for $110 then just move the 4S electronics over. 4S set up may be just a bit too much for the soft metal/bearings on the clone. Now I need to buy real Align parts to replace whatever turned bad after the first 5 flights :) That was flight # 3. I am pretty sure the heli will fly just fine after 5 flights if all the parts hold together.

I was able to land just fine even though the heli was vibrating like mad in the air. I think the shaft bent after 5 quick tail down tick tocs.
