Thanks Guys.

My wife is not so happy about my models getting ;larger....comments like "too big" and "they aren't cute anymore" and "you can only have as many as you can fit in the downstairs flat".

If they get any larger, hey may have to move to Half Moon Bay and share the Hangar  But since that road washed out, I have to drive to Tracy to get to half Moon Bay :x

Rob,
Are you going to fly for days on a single charge? A 5s2p 2200 Lipo feeding a 2w motor gives about 39 hours of flight. Oh, I get it. Is it a 2kW motor? What is the projected weight? Where will you fly it?
I would love to see it fly.

Good one Dave! 8)

2w motor is the designation for 2wind - the hot one

Jepe makes his own motors in the Netherlands and they have no external cases but are using the carbon motor shroud of the fan for the external case. Very nice pieces...should be aproaching 900 watts, so yes a 4-5 minute flight will be plenty.......

sorry the photos from the web as my motor is deep within the bowels of the duct......

a profile view......

The esc is crammed in the efflux cone and the fat 13ga. wires are soldered to flat copper plate to exit the cone/duct to provide minimum frontal area in the duct.

You can sortof see it in the installed photo,

While she is certainly capable of flight right now after dialing in throws on the evo.

I have a custom paint mask and decal set in transit from germany and will paint her up nice and pretty before commiting aviation.

I'll post maiden info on this thread, but won't be to soon, I'm a slow painter!
