Thanks Nick for the great picture. I know.....this may be the least efficient application of a ducted fan to date. It's all about static thrust....efflux velocity I'm sure is dismal. The fan could be happy if I pirouetted like a madman. :D But I don't care.....It looks and sounds cool. The picture is the 40h....I'm now working on a 50h....more static...good. I'm thinking of shortening the fan shroud to save weight....anyone out there know how this will affect performance? Remember static thrust is all I'm really concerend with. I'm already using the 5 and 6 bladed high pitch fans. Thanks in advance.

P.S. truc i am building a plane that has a zero wing and a
p-51 fusalage....to get the best of both worlds.
Geared mega 4 turn to boot.
Will formation flying return to baylands park this summer ?
